In print lab, students will explore the art of reduction printmaking through hands-on techniques, including linoleum-block printing, whiteline and woodblock printing. This relaxed and fun-filled class will cover the fundamentals of relief printing, from designing and carving blocks to inking and printing.
Students will develop technical skills in carving, layering colors, and registration while experimenting with composition, texture and contrast. Through guided projects and independent exploration, they will gain an understanding of traditional and contemporary printmaking practices.
