Watercolor Studio

In this class, we will explore what makes watercolor so unique. Some previous watercolor or other painting experience is preferred. We will explore this fun but challenging medium through simple lessons, and/or demos. Students are encouraged to apply these techniques to images of their choosing. Instructor Anne Wert will work with students individually to determine the strongest composition and how to best use watercolor to create a successful painting.

Each class ends with the opportunity to learn from your fellow painters in our weekly group critique.

Thursdays, 10 Weeks, 09/21 – 11/30, 2023

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Materials students need to purchase: Watercolor materials (brushes, paints, paper). Any brand of watercolor paints is acceptable, but Anne uses Winsor Newton. Winsor Newton also makes a less expensive Cotman set which is suitable for beginners.
