Printing with the Sun (Spring Session)

Join artist Brett Day Windham for a one-day cyanotype workshop and explore this fascinating Victorian-era photography process! Cyanotype (or sun print) is the predecessor of the architectural blueprint and has a rich feminist history. The process involves painting a simple two-part chemistry onto almost any surface. Once dry, it is laid in the sun with an object or photo negative on top, and rinsed in cool water to make stunning cyan-blue and white prints.

6 sheets of prepared paper will be provided, along with a wide selection of objects to print. We invite you to bring your own objects as well! (Anything from lace, feathers, and shells to alphabet magnets or toys!). The workshop will be held at beautiful Osamequin Farm in Seekonk. Osamequin Farm, 80 Walnut St Seekonk, MA, 02771.
