Needlepoint Finishing: Bring Your Own Project to Finish

Come learn to finish that completed needlepoint project in your stash during this two-day workshop! Bring your own stitched and blocked canvas to class and instructor Kelly Starke will guide you to create the finished project. Students can work on projects like a stocking, clutch, eyeglass case, scissor case, round or simple-shaped ornament, hanging sign, brick cover, boxed stand up, shaped stuffed weighted standup, or small pillow.

During class, students will learn things like how to cut and bevel foam core, cut and dart needlepoint and fabric, and assemble all the elements of their project. Other skills covered: Learn to use a curved needle, how to center and align a monogram on the back of an ornament, add cording and complete a finished ornament.

Note: Students must bring a completed stitched and blocked canvas to class. Projects will use hand cording and not self-welt.
