Gel Monoprint is a painterly medium! The effects achieved with Gel monoprints are not usually possible in other forms of art. The artist can use a unique combination of printing and painting on various print papers which can create one-of-a-kind artworks. This class is for all levels of artists. The Gel monoprint method is an art form that is loose and free. We use soft gel plates and acrylic paints. The class will explore hand-pulled prints created with stencils, drawings, collages, botanicals, and found objects on a gel plate. The class will also explore several types of intriguing art papers for printing.
