Machine Sewing Basics

This introduction to machine sewing will teach participants how to use a sewing machine with confidence. Together, we will go over how to set up a sewing machine, and sew, and some helpful tips and tricks for ease of use on the machine! Each week we will build on previous sessions to explore several types of stitches, seams, and techniques to help bring your sewing projects to life.

Materials students need to purchase/bring:

If you have a sewing machine that you would like to work on, please bring it! Let me know if you plan to use your own machine.

3 yards of plain weave fabric- quilting cotton or muslin.

2 spools of all-purpose sewing thread, one light color to match the fabric.
