In this four – week course, students will learn to use steam to mold and shape their free- form style hats on a wooden hat block. The style possibilities are as endless as your imagination! We will be working in Velour, which is a a is luxurious material, and offers little resistance when shaping , so, those with carpal tunnel syndrome, or arthritis will still be able to work easily with this material. Velour is rabbit fur, for those who may not want to work with it. For the beginner, it is easier to work with than wool. Students will need to purchase a handheld clothing steamer.
