Experimental Cyanotype
with Infinite Portals Studio (F26)

Cyanotype, also known as sun printing, is a cameraless photographic printing process that uses sunlight to create striking blue-and-white prints. In this workshop,  Caitlin Rae Moon (Miller) of Infinite Portals Studio will help students move beyond the traditional cyanotype process and explore it as an experimental art medium.

We’ll create prints using found objects, handmade negatives, and drawings or paintings on transparency. We’ll also explore wet cyanotype, alternative application and development techniques, and household ingredients like vinegar and turmeric to shift the color, texture, and overall feel of the finished prints. The workshop emphasizes experimentation, discovery, and developing your own approach to the medium.

No previous cyanotype or printmaking experience necessary. Come ready to experiment, play, and see what happens!
