Books from 1904 (Winter and Spring Session)

Please join THC’s Reading and Discussion Group which will focus on works written around 1904, the year The Handicraft Club was founded.  The group will meet for one hour at 11:00 AM on the following Wednesdays: 14 February, 13 March, and 17 April. February’s selection is E.M. Forster’s “A Room With a View,” March’s will be Jane Addams’s “Twenty Years at Hull House,” and for April it will be Edith Wharton’s “The House of Mirth.” All three books examine the culture of the period and its impact on women.  A day trip to Edith Wharton’s home is under consideration for the spring term.
