Data and Privacy

  1. The Handicraft Club creates a membership directory each year for distribution to its members.  If you do not wish to be listed in the directory, please let the Club Manager know in writing.
  2. Any photos taken in the Handicraft Club may be used in the newsletter and/or on our website.  We know there are some folks who cannot have photos on a public webpage, either because of their corporate policy, or for personal safety reasons.  If this is the case, please reach out to the Club Manager right away, so that she can ensure there are no identifiable photos of you being shared. 
  3. The Handicraft Club may share promotional information with its members, but we will not sell, share, or exchange your information with vendors or contractors.
  4. The member directory is intended to facilitate communication and camaraderie among our members.  Any use of the directory to further personal business ventures is prohibited.

     

Days/Hours of Operation

  1. The Club is open from 8:30 to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, and Friday 8:30 – 12:30. Any change in hours will be posted on the website and in the Clubhouse.
  2. The Clubhouse will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Victory Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  3. The Handicraft Club will follow the Providence School System for weather related closings. When the Providence schools are on a vacation week, the Handicraft Club will be closed if there is a weather related parking ban in the City of Providence. See our Club website for weather related notices. Morning classes at the Club will be cancelled if there is a delayed opening of the Providence Public Schools.

Class Registration Policy

  1. Online registrations and mailed registrations are prioritized equally. If a class is oversubscribed with multiple registrations from the same day, the class co-chairs will select names by postmark or online date for open spaces using a lottery system. Remaining names will be added to a waiting list and you will be notified in time to change your class or receive a refund. 
  2. You will receive an email confirmation when your check is processed. You are registered for the class unless it has been over-
    subscribed and we will contact you to register for a different class or receive a refund.
