Housing a vast array of decorative art objects brought home from ports of call around the world, the Peabody Essex Museum has what is considered the finest collection of its kind.

During our visit, we will have a private guided tour that will highlight some of their magnificent holdings of porcelains, ivory, textiles and silver.  We have also a reserved timeslot for those who wish to take a self-guided tour through the Yin Yu Tang House, an 18th century Chinese structure that has been reconstructed within the PEM campus.

There will also be ample free time to explore other galleries on your own.  A special exhibition showcasing the work of artist and furniture designer Isamu Noguchi is on view, as well as collection-based installations devoted to African Art, American Art, European Art, Marine Art, Native American Art, Oceanic Art and Photography.
